1. Who we are
This website, northstarseo.co, is operated by That's No Moon LLC, doing business as NorthStar SEO ("NorthStar SEO", "we", "us", "our"). Our mailing address is 8735 Dunwoody Place #5707, Atlanta, GA 30350, USA.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our landing pages, our ads and lead forms, our booking pages, and our phone calls, text messages, emails and meetings. Please read it together with our Disclaimer.
2. Information you give us
When you book a call, fill in a form, respond to one of our ads, message us or otherwise contact us, we may collect:
- Your name and job title
- Email address
- Phone number, including mobile numbers
- Business name, website, address and industry
- The services you're interested in, your goals and your budget
- Anything else you choose to share with us, including notes on a booking form and what you tell us in messages, calls and meetings
We collect this through our Calendly booking page, forms on this website and our landing pages, lead forms on Facebook, Instagram, Google and other advertising platforms, email, phone calls, text messages, social media messages and video meetings.
3. Information we get from other sources
- Public business information, such as business names, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, addresses, Google Business Profile listings, reviews, social media profiles and online directories.
- Business contact data providers and lead lists.
- Advertising platforms. For example, when you submit a lead form on Facebook, Instagram or Google, the platform passes the information you submitted on to us.
- Referrals from people who introduce you to us.
We use this information to find and contact businesses that may benefit from our services, and to research a business before we speak with it.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising providers (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google reCAPTCHA) may collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages and the website you came from. We use this to understand how the site is used, keep our forms free of spam, and improve the site and our marketing.
Cookies and advertising pixels
Our website uses cookies, small files stored by your browser, to remember your visit and measure site traffic. We may also use pixels and tags from advertising platforms such as Meta and Google to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our site or interacted with us. We may upload contact lists to these platforms in hashed (encrypted) form to create or exclude advertising audiences.
We don't put information like your name, email or phone number in our cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, manage ads in Google My Ad Center and Meta ad preferences, or opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
5. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule and hold calls and meetings
- To research your business and prepare audits, proposals and recommendations
- To provide our services to clients and manage our client relationships
- To contact you by phone, text message and email about your booking, your enquiry, your project and our services, as described in section 6
- To run, measure and improve our advertising, website and marketing
- To keep our website, forms and systems secure and prevent spam and fraud
- To keep records of consent and opt-out requests
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights
6. Phone calls, text messages and emails
When you contact us, you agree to hear from us
If you give us your contact details in any way, including by booking a call, submitting a form on this website or one of our landing pages, submitting a lead form on Facebook, Instagram, Google or another platform, or by emailing, calling, texting or messaging us, you agree that That's No Moon LLC (NorthStar SEO), and people and service providers acting on our behalf, may contact you at the phone number and email address you gave us. We may call, text and email you about your enquiry, your booking, your project and our services, including follow-ups and offers.
By giving us a phone number, you confirm that it is your number or that you are authorised to agree to these contacts for it, and you agree to let us know if it changes or is no longer yours.
Calls and texts using automated technology
Where you have given us your express written consent, for example by ticking a consent box on our booking page or a form, or by agreeing to consent language on a lead form, we may also send marketing calls and text messages to the number you provided using automated technology. This may include automatically dialled calls, automated text messages, and prerecorded or artificial (AI-generated) voice messages.
Agreeing to receive calls or texts is not a condition of buying any service.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, That's No Moon LLC (NorthStar SEO) may call or text you about your booking, your enquiry, your project and our services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@northstarseo.co. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, or text messaging opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from all information sharing described in this policy, except with service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
Opting out
You can withdraw your consent or ask us to stop contacting you at any time, using any reasonable method: reply STOP to a text, tell us on a call, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or email info@northstarseo.co. We will act on your request promptly, and no later than 10 business days after we receive it. We may send one message confirming your opt-out. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send about an active project or agreement with you, unless you ask us to stop those too.
When we contact businesses first
We sometimes contact businesses that have not contacted us first, by phone or email, to introduce our services. We use business contact details that are publicly available or that we obtain from business data providers. When we do this:
- We call between 8am and 9pm in the recipient's local time
- We say who we are, who we represent and why we're calling, and we display a caller ID number you can call back
- We do not call residential numbers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry unless we have your permission or an existing business relationship with you
- We keep an internal do-not-call list and stop contacting anyone who asks
- We do not use prerecorded or artificial voice messages on these calls, and we do not send text messages to anyone who has not opted in
- Our marketing emails include our postal address and a way to unsubscribe
If we contacted you and you'd rather we didn't, tell us on the call, reply to our email, or email info@northstarseo.co, and we'll add you to our do-not-contact list.
Call recording and meeting notes
Phone calls and video meetings with us may be recorded and transcribed, including with AI note-taking tools, for quality, training and record keeping. Where the law requires it, we will tell you at the start of the call and ask for your consent. If you'd prefer not to be recorded, tell us and we won't record.
7. How we share information
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We share information with service providers that help us run our business, only as needed for them to provide their services to us. These include providers of scheduling (such as Calendly), phone calling and text messaging (such as Twilio), email, CRM, analytics, advertising, AI tools, website hosting, file storage, payments, and our accountants and legal advisers. This is subject to the "Text messages" section above.
- We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, or where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, investigate or prevent fraud or illegal activity, or protect anyone's safety.
- If our business is reorganised, merged or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- We may share information with your consent or at your direction.
8. AI tools
We use AI tools to help with work such as transcribing calls, taking meeting notes, research, analysis and drafting content. When we put personal information into these tools, they act as our service providers, and the information is handled as described in this policy.
9. Information we handle for clients
When we work for a client, we may handle information about that client's own customers or patients, such as reviews, website analytics, call tracking data or advertising audience lists. We handle that information on the client's instructions and under our agreement with them, and the client's own privacy policy applies to it.
Health information. We are a marketing agency, not a healthcare provider. Please don't send us medical or health information about yourself or anyone else through our forms, booking pages or messages. If work for a healthcare client requires us to access protected health information, we will only do so under a separate written agreement, such as a HIPAA business associate agreement, where the law requires one.
10. Where we process information
We are based in the United States. We, our team members and our service providers may store and process information in the United States and in other countries, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. When we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to protect it as described in this policy.
11. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as required by law. We keep records of consent and opt-out requests for as long as we need them to honour your choices and to show that we have complied with the law, which may be longer than other records.
12. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and we expect our service providers to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@northstarseo.co. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and stop text messages by replying STOP. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will still keep the minimum needed to keep you on our do-not-contact list, so that we don't contact you again, and anything we are required to keep by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know what information we hold, to receive a copy of it, or to opt out of certain advertising. Where those laws apply to us, we will honour them, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
14. Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Third-party sites and platforms
Our website and messages may link to, or use, third-party sites and platforms such as Calendly, Google, Facebook and Instagram. Their own privacy policies apply to the information you give them, and we are not responsible for how they handle it.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Changes take effect when they are posted here.
